imagine
Imagine you are in a foreign country or, even worse, on another planet!
You don't speak the language, you can’t understand what people are saying to you and you can't make your needs known.
You can hear what is being said, but no matter how hard you listen, you can’t comprehend it and you can't even communicate the fact that you don't understand.
That is what life is like every day for children with severe speech and language disorders. |

Some children lack the ability to develop proper communication and language skills. Often this occurs as a result of an existing disability (e.g autism, cerebral palsy), but in some cases this can occur in isolation. This means that a child’s language abilities may not be developing at the same rate as other areas.
Imagine being a child without the necessary means to communicate or understand those around you. Without Language, we rarely get the opportunity to feel we have genuinely been listened to.
LET'S TALK was created to give those children a chance to find their true voice. Driven by the desire to nurture and develop children with language difficulties, the LET'S TALK Developmental Hub is a meeting place for families, children and professionals. Here, they can access a range of services designed to identify, manage and support language and communication development. |
